What is Pay Attent!on?
Pay Attent!on is a Swiss prevention initiative run by the financial sector and the police on the subject of secure payments. The aim of Pay Attent!on is to educate the general public through prevention campaigns on payment fraud and to help the public recognise payment fraud at an early stage. The long-term objective is to strengthen personal responsibility and confidence in cashless payment.
Governing body and organisation
Pay Attent!on is organised as a registered association. The association’s members are SwissDebitPay, the Swiss Payment Association and the Swiss Bankers’ Association. Pay Attent!on is also supported and backed by Swiss Crime Prevention.
Swiss Crime Prevention
Swiss Crime Prevention (SKP) is supported by the Conference of Cantonal Directors of Justice and Police (KKJPD) and run by a standing committee of the KKJPD. It represents all cantonal and municipal police forces in Switzerland as well as Fedpol on all matters relating to crime prevention.
Swiss Crime Prevention appears in the Pay Attent!on campaigns under the heading ‘Your Police’.
SwissDebitPay
SwissDebitPay (SDP) is the trade association for the Swiss debit card market. It represents the interests of debit card issuers in Switzerland.
Swiss Payment Association
The Swiss Payment Association (SPA) is the trade association for the Swiss credit card market. It represents the interests of credit card and loyalty card issuers in Switzerland.
Swiss Bankers Association
The Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) is the umbrella organisation for banks and other credit institutions in Switzerland and, as such, represents the entire Swiss financial industry. The SBA represents the interests of Swiss banks in dealings with the business community, politicians, public authorities and the general public.
